City of Ottawa Arts Committee

Board Member

The duties of the Committee consist of promoting art within the City, assisting in enhancing public parks and public land with art, recommending pieces of art throughout the City, maintaining works of art in the City, and encouraging gifts and grants for pieces of art, art programs, and maintenance of works of arts for the City.

Advisory Board Member

United Way of Eastern LaSalle County is dedicated to making a lasting impact in our community. With a rich history of serving the people of Eastern LaSalle County, we continue to be a driving force for positive change. Our mission is simple yet profound: to unite our community’s resources and mobilize them to improve lives and create lasting solutions for the challenges facing our neighbors.

Heather Pursley serves as an advisory board member as well as Marketing Chair and member of the Strategic Planning Committees.

Vice President

The purpose of the ODA is to promote the development, establishment, or expansion of industries in downtown Ottawa, Illinois, through initiatives that foster a vibrant community, support local businesses, and enhance the downtown experience for residents and visitors.

Ottawa Chris Kringle Market

Treasurer

The Ottawa Chris Kringle Market strengthens and enrich the Ottawa, Illinois community by supporting local economic vitality, arts and culture, and tourism through the operation of a seasonal public market. The Market provides affordable opportunities for local, independently owned and operated businesses, artisans, makers, and nonprofit organizations to showcase and sell their goods, earn income, and connect with the public through hut rentals, artist commissions, and curated programming.

Ottawa Historical and Scouting Heritage Museum

Board Member

The Ottawa Scouting Museum was founded to promote and preserve the colorful and proud traditions of Boy Scouting, Girl Scouting and Camp Fire, via exhibition of the past of these organizations with memorabilia from its vast collection, and the development of a variety of educational programs for all youth.

Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Ambassador

The Chamber Ambassadors are a dynamic group of 30+ volunteers from Chamber member businesses who serve as the welcoming committee and public relations team for the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce. Easily recognized by their signature green jackets, Ambassadors are actively involved in ribbon-cutting ceremonies, Business After Hours, and other key Chamber events.

Heather has been designing and implementing a social media platform for our church. She has been helping us with brand consistency and social media engagement.
Her joyfulness and knowledgeable input have made her amazing to work with. I trust her as a marketing consultant and a creative.
