Post and Prairie Design Studio is a huge supporter of Ottawa’s Third Friday Artisan Market, which happens every third Friday from April-Sept. Traditionally, the city has closed Madison Street from La Salle to Clinton Street; hardly a huge inconvenience for the city to manage. This year, however, the mayor and police chief seem determined to move the event to a city park, which would kill the spirit of the event.

I am 100% behind keeping this event on Madison Street. Moving this event to Washington Square or the Jordan block makes this event “just another art fair in the park,” and frankly, how many more of these does Ottawa need? Tourists and residents alike are looking for UNIQUE EXPERIENCES and will take their tax dollars elsewhere if they aren’t finding them here.

If you’ve ever enjoyed an evening at Third Friday or just want to fight city hall, I strongly urge you to sign the petition and join us for a meeting at City Hall on Tuesday, March 1 at 7 pm.
